BIG and ECF have co-organized a ‘What Can Culture Do?’ roundtable in Brussels.
The Brussels Institute for Geopolitics (BIG) has hosted a ‘What Can Culture Do?’ roundtable, co-organized with the European Cultural Foundation (ECF). This joint session in Brussels forms part of a series of listening roundtables organized by ECF that are taking place across Europe.
The Brussels meeting focused on exploring the role of culture in advancing Europe's strategic response to current geopolitical challenges. An input paper prepared by BIG kickstarted an engaged conversation among high-level participants, including representatives from the world of the arts, cultural organizations and EU institutions, as well as writers and journalists.
This initiative is part of the institute’s endeavour to provide a dedicated space for critical debate and to act as a hub connecting strategic minds from governmental, cultural and intellectual spheres across Europe.
Among the more than twenty attendees were representatives from ARTE, the Boghossian Foundation-Villa Empain, BOZAR, the House of European History, Kunstenfestivaldesarts, WIELS and Writers Festival of Belgium.
