The Brussels Institute for Geopolitics (or BIG) exists to help Europe get in shape for the new era of great power politics. It is the first and only think tank in Brussels wholly dedicated to geopolitics and strategy. Founded in 2022 with the backing of several EU leaders, the institute works closely with decision makers from the public and private sector. It combines an intimate knowledge of the EU with an understanding of the deeper historic and cultural shifts shaping Europe. By bringing together thought leaders from politics, business and civil society, BIG aims to foster a true strategic culture for the European Union.
